NIET is accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) & approved by AICTE and affiliated to JNT University.

The college began its journey with 4 Under-graduate programmers with an intake of 240 students on 2004 grew to 4 Under-graduate courses with 7 sections and 2 Post-graduate courses with a total intake of 540 students by the year 2006. Now it stands as a reputed Institute of Engineering & Technology in this region.
